Search Engine Optimizer - Ecologital

Ecologital is a Software development firm based out of Sri Lanka catering and developing software for the telecom and medical industry. Even though Ecologital is a comparatively young company, it has reached a stage of rapid growth and is thus looking to bring in many members into our team.

We are looking for a web designer, web developer or computer programmer to do search engine optimization.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

· Should be able to increase the traffic to a web site, improve ranking on search engines, track the activities of a web site’s visitors and to run online marketing campaigns

· Should have close cooperation with our content writing team to integrate optimized content within the structure of a Website.

· Analyse the number of visitors to a website and their activity on the site using web analytics software

· Report these statistics to their colleagues and management

· Make changes to a website to improve its ranking on Google, Yahoo!, etc

· Promote a website on blogs, forums and wikis

· Work closely with web editors, designers and web developers

· Understand issues surrounding user experience, accessibility and information architecture

· Website redevelopment for search engines, file uploads, some link building, client consultation and support via phone and email

· Should have close cooperation with our content writing team to integrate optimized content within the structure of a Website.

· Should be an energetic individual who is hungry for knowledge and keen to learn the latest Internet marketing tactics and improve their web development knowledge.

· This position is perfect for an entry level person or fresh college graduate.

· Should be a quick learner and have a good attention to details and online trends

· Should have a good understanding on markets and its audience

· Should have the understanding of how search engines and website work

· Should posses with good analytical and interpersonal skills

· Should be able to handle multitask and perform projects under tight deadlines.

· You also need to be able to work under little supervision and be a team player.

Recommended experience

· Excellent command of the English language and grammar

· We would prefer someone with experience with various platforms and web languages

· Relevant experience should include knowledge with the following programs: HTML, Dreamweaver, FrontPage, CGI, Perl, JavaScript, ASP, JSP, ColdFusion, PHP, Photoshop, FTP.

· Prior SEO experience and/or link building experience are a plus.
