AES Corporation Inc. US is one of the largest IPP in the world having operations in over thirty (30) countries around the world. AES Kelanitissa (BOI approved company) is a subsidiary of AES Corporation and owns/ operates a 168 MW Power Plant in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
The site is strategically located adjacent to the Kelanitissa Power Complex.
AES Kelanitissa seeks to hire experienced Plant Operation & Maintenance Engineers.
Applicants should have an Engineering Degree or a diploma from a recognized university.
Plus:
1. Minimum 2yrs Operation experience in heavy industry. Power Plant experience will be an added advantage
2. experience in Stem and Gas Turbines will be an added advantage
3. computer literacy is essential, and ability to pick up the plant’s computerized system in the shortest possible time is expected
The applicant should be able to work independently and should possess high level of organizational skills. He/she should be able to communicate effectively in English both in written and verbal forms.
* Must possess very strong interpersonal relationship with “whatever it takes” attitude and be willing to spend most of his/ her time in the plant in an effort to improve reliability of the facility to world class level
* Must be a strong team player
