Main job responsibilities
* As a member of the senior management team he/she will be required to take part in the strategic decision making process, setting company goals and performance evaluations.
* Overall Responsibility for the maintenance of financial reporting systems for the parent company and the UK – Subsidiary.
* Oversee the finalization of monthly management reports and the Annual reports.
* Making presentations to the senior management on the Financial Position, performance results, and changes in the control environment etc. on a regular basis and when required
* Responsible for the supervision, training, evaluation and motivation of the staff of the division.
* Overall responsibility for fund/treasury management.
* Oversee the filling of Income Tax, Vat returns, Annual returns and other statutory reports for Sri Lankan Company and for the UK – Subsidiary.
* Dealing with Banks (including UK banks), Financial Institutes, regulatory bodies, External Auditors, both in Sri Lanka and the UK
Requirements
* A member of both the Institute of Chartered Accounts (ICASL) and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
* A degree in Finance or an MBA would be a distinct advantage.
* A minimum of 5 years of managerial experience preferably with some foreign exposure or working in a multinational environment.
