Project Leader - E-W Information Systems - Colombo

Job Profile (Roles & Responsibilities)
* Responsible for end-to-end delivery of projects of a high quality, within budget and according to agreed schedule and users requirements
* Plan and manage project schedules and resources on the project
* Addressing issues in a project such as scope creep, changes in users requirements, schedule slippage, risks, and technical problems
* Work closely with Business/Product managers, development and support teams to ensure end objectives are met
* Manage inputs from members of the project team and other end user departments
* Co-ordinate project activities liaising with all relevant levels of stake holders
* Conduct/participate project review meetings, maintain meeting minutes and follow-up’s
* Coordinate supplier payments and project revenue collections
* Reporting of project status and progress.

The background:
* University Degree or recognized professional qualification
* Minimum 4 years of IT experience preferably in Software Implementation projects
* Minimum 2 Years of experience working in similar capacity
* Possess strong project management skills and experience in large-scale implementation
* Proven track records in Project Management for Public Sector Institutions
* Proactive and sensitive to business and statutory requirements
* Able to manage users expectations and vendor negotiations
* Able to work within constraints and limited resources
* Good analytical skills and ability to understand requirements and design issues
* Able to perform problem solving independently
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Self-motivated and able to work independently and under pressure
